Augusta Abogados attends the breakfast organised by the “Círculo Ecuestre” for Women’s Day

On the occasion of the celebration of International Women’s Day (#8M), our Partners, Alicia Herrador and María José Sánchez, attended yesterday the breakfast organised by the Círculo Ecuestre: “What we gain when there are more women in decision-making positions”.

At this meeting, various studies were analysed, including those of the “Observatori Dona, Empresa i Economia (ODEE)” on women’s access to management positions and company boards of directors, as well as studies on the implementation of equality plans in companies.

The Observatory’s mission is to contribute to the great debate that exists in society today on the need to make the most of female talent, which is essential for a country’s economic growth and social progress.

The conclusion drawn from this talk was that, according to the latest studies, the presence of a greater number of women in the workplace implies:

• An increase in company profits and financial stability
• A greater capacity to retain talent
• Increased creativity and improved reputation of the company
• Increased sensitivity and transparency in dealing with business issues
