The main questions which were dealt with had to do with liability of the issuing bank and the purchaser in the case of imports, specific issues relating to clauses on liquidated damages, breaches and notices within the framework of the VIena Convention, tort liability for breach of negotiations (“culpa in contrahendo”), and international duties of diligence in relation to the norms on the prevention of money laundering and finance of terrorism.
