Nowadays, thanks to or because of social networks, any topic can become a debate in a matter of seconds. Viajes National Geographic has published the article by Javier Ortega Figueiral “Etiqueta a bordo: ¿reclinar o no reclinar el asiento? in which various experts from the world of aviation give their opinion on this issue that created controversy due to the publication of a video in the U.S. inside an airplane.

Sergi Giménez, partner of Augusta Abogados and specialist in aviation, was one of the interviewees, together with Javier Taibo Arias, president of the Edefa Group and María Morales, flight attendant.

Sergi Giménez argues that in Europe this problem does not happen so often due to a certain cultural factor, since “it is the region where low cost has been most developed and sophisticated”. From a legal point of view, Sergi Giménez adds that “regulations are not concerned with the comfort of passengers, but with their safety“.
