Expectations and Limits of the Use of New Technologies in the Activity of the Legal Profession: Professional Ethics as a Guiding Element

As new technologies are likely to enhance our ability to practise law competently and effectively, new questions arise as to the ethical issues deriving from them. This article examines whether existing rules are sufficient and whether expectations of what new technologies can offer carry the risk of an unfounded deterioration in the public perception of the current provision of (human) legal services.
